Clair Zohrab

My name is Clair Zohrab and I have over 20 years experience of working with children and families in a number of educational and social services contexts. Moving to the UK in 2010 gave me the opportunity to complete a Masters in Play Therapy from the University of Roehampton. This course is based on a person-centred model of therapy and emphasises the use of play within a therapeutic relationship to facilitate growth within children. It also involved extensive training in child development, attachment, and the neuroscience behind relationships and parenting.

Returning to Auckland in 2014, I am excited to be able to offer specialised play therapy services for children and their families. I am able to work with a range of referring issues where challenging emotional events may be preventing children from getting on with their lives.

As I trained in the UK, I am a full member the British Association of Play Therapists and adhere to their code of ethics. I also receive regular supervision and keep up to date with professional development.
